Who Am I?

Dawn Mattinson

Mind Body Wellness Coach 

As a middle-aged woman who has personally struggled with body image and food for years, as well as a mother to two teenage girls, one of whom battled with an eating disorder and mental health issues, I understand the importance of a healthy relationship with both ourselves and food. Through my own journey and work with clients, I've discovered that mindset is just as crucial as nutrition when it comes to overall wellness. This realisation has led me to become a Mind Body Wellness Coach.


My mission is to increase awareness of the harmful and distorted relationship that we often have with our bodies, food, and eating. This connection can have a profound impact on both our own mental and physical health, as well as that of our children. I aim to empower individuals with the tools, support, and guidance necessary to make peace with their bodies, food, and eating habits through this online platform. By working together, we can create positive change and foster a healthy, sustainable relationship with ourselves, food and our bodies.

Through the study of Wellness Coaching, Nutrition, Psychology of Eating, Body Image, Neuroscience for Health, Mindfulness and constant research of these topics, I am able to understand how each aspect is interlinked to our overall health and happiness and the importance of the connection of the mind and the body

We are surrounded by the flawed belief that our appearance is a predictor of our acceptance, happiness and success. 

Our food choices and eating style tends to be dictated by our desired shape.

We have spent years focusing on the "outside in" approach focusing on diet and exercise,  and yet we are struggling more and more with our weight and health both mentally and physically.

Many factors are influencing this; however, one of the most silent yet destructive is the detrimental relationship so many have with their bodies, food, and eating habits 

A healthy mindset is just as if not more important than diet and exercise.

Our thoughts, emotions, and actions toward ourselves, our bodies, food, and eating are integral components that significantly influence our overall well-being. Negative perceptions and beliefs concerning our bodies and eating habits can have a profound impact on both our mental and physical health, often leading to extreme and obsessive behaviors.

Whether you're worried about how you look, think there's a weight problem, or even if you're not bothered, a lot of our thoughts, beliefs, and actions are pretty similar.

We get anxious about food, whether we think it's 'healthy' or not.

We tend to exercise to punish our bodies instead of doing it because we enjoy it.

These challenges transcend gender, age, race, body type, or self-perceived weight status. Living with a negative mindset regarding one's body, food, and eating habits does not discriminate, and if left unaddressed, it can have enduring effects on mental and physical well-being.

The Mibodi wellness program offers a comprehensive solution, emphasising an "inside-out" approach to address these issues holistically.

How it works

MiBodi Wellness are online courses that allow you flexibility and privacy plus has the support of our coach, webinars and our community. 

You can either do the full MiBodi Wellness program or you can choose which modules you wish to do.

You can chose between the different packages of working through the courses by yourself, in a group with our coach or one on one with our coach. 

Each course will vary in time depending on what it is, however most courses are a series of weekly links combining video's, information and self discovery work.

The groups can be as private or as interactive as you choose.  Our coach is available both online and behind the scenes to help guide you.
